less shoulder, more sleeve

20. 07. 2016 less shoulder, more sleeve

If youโ€™re somewhat interested in fashion and happened to shop for new seasonal pieces this summer, my guess is you snatched at least one off-the-shoulder top. Am I right? No doubt. The off-the- shoulder silhouette is one of the key summer trends (along with slip dresses) that will hopefully stay for seasons to come. Or better yet, be considered timeless.

Ultimate versatility and bare shoulders elegance are the contributing elements to its success. Most of the styles are quite girly, but thatโ€™s what makes them so fun to combine with almost anything. (As you can see, I love to wear mine with boyfriend or skinny jeans, ever a super easy match.)

Luckily, the choice is endless. From many affordable Zara tops to designer pieces, youโ€™ll for sure find one in your preferred color and cut.  A couple of designers that elevated the off-shoulder popularity and got me invest in what I believe are timeless pieces: Caroline Constas and Anna October. Creative silhouettes, bright colors, comfortable and unfussy fabrics make for absolutely stunning, statement pieces you should be considering today. Or the following summer.

I discovered Caroline Constas at Intermix and fell in love instantly. Tried on several pieces, including the Margi and Carmen dress, Gabriella and Lou top. Absolutely stunning. Here you see me in the gingham print ruffle stunner by Caroline Constas. To shop for Caroline Constas, check out Shopbop, Net a Porter, Intermix Online.
The aforementioned Anna October is yet my another favorite for the off-shoulder investment. (The post featuring her designs is coming soon.)

More affordable and impressively flattering pieces by Zara or Mango are also a highly recommended choice. Martina is seen here wearing a blue pinstripe top by Zara.
